Carer Visa: Key Requirements
The Carer visa (116 offshore / 836 onshore) is for a relative who is willing to provide ongoing care to an Australian citizen or permanent resident who has a medical condition that prevents them from undertaking basic activities of daily living. Key requirements include:

The Australian relative must have a medical condition certified by an approved doctor

The required care cannot reasonably be provided by Australian health services

No other suitable relative in Australia can reasonably provide the care
