Code of Conduct
Migration Square is committed to ethical recruitment, worker wellbeing, and the prevention of modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour, debt bondage, deceptive recruitment, and labour exploitation across our operations and candidate pathway activities.
Our current controls and procedures include:
-
Ethical recruitment and transparent candidate communication, including clear information about the nature of the opportunity, pathway steps, candidate expectations, and the fact that employment, visa outcomes, or future sponsorship are not guaranteed.
-
Candidate consent and document protection, including ensuring candidates retain possession and control of their passports, identity documents, visas, and personal records.
-
No coercion, bond, or document retention practices. We do not support arrangements involving forced labour, debt bondage, passport withholding, threats, or financial penalties that restrict a candidate’s freedom of movement or choice.
-
Lawful workplace expectations, including alignment with applicable Australian workplace laws, Fair Work requirements, relevant award or minimum pay obligations, and Department of Home Affairs requirements where applicable.
-
Clear role and responsibility boundaries, with the employer or approved sponsor retaining responsibility for workplace conditions, WHS, payroll, supervision, and employment arrangements.
-
Candidate grievance and escalation channels, allowing candidates to raise concerns about safety, treatment, supervision, hours, work conditions, or pathway expectations.
-
Partner and network monitoring, including expectation-setting with referral partners, offshore networks, and relevant service providers to support ethical sourcing and worker protection.
Where formal engagement proceeds, Migration Square can provide relevant supporting procedures or align with the client’s supplier onboarding, compliance, and due diligence framework.
Regards,
