The tasks carried out by this position will include, but are not limited to the repair and fabrication of earthmoving
machinery and their components, Along with being accountable for maintaining and repairing equipment in a safe, efficient and competent manner, specifically marking out, cutting, shaping, assembling and fixing metal to produce or repair equipment as instructed by the fabrication department supervisor and or leading hand.

Australian Recognised Trade Certificate
Essential Criteria
Heavy mobile plant maintenance experience
Relevant experience working within the Industrial, Civil or Mining sectors
Current Work Safe Licence for Forklift
Desirable Criteria
Australian HR Drivers Licence
Working at Heights
Confined Space
Arc Air Gouging and Thermal Lancing experience
Proficient in MMAW, FCAW, GMAW and Oxy Fuel Cutting
Refurbish/rebuild loader buckets, dump truck trays and excavator booms, sticks and buckets and other mobile plant and equipment
Fabricate handrails, platforms and ladders for various designs of mobile equipment
General mobile equipment repairs as required – including panel repairs and plate development
Lay out plate, sheet steel or other heavy metal and locate and mark bending and cutting lines, using protractors, compasses, and drawing instruments or templates
Key Responsibilities
Carry out tasks in accordance with site policies and procedures which includes take 5’s and the permit to work system
Work in and maintain a working environment with an acceptable level of housekeeping
Correctly use and maintain PPE at all times
Use and maintain workshop tooling in accordance to working specifications and conditions
Maintain an accurate time-keeping record relating to work tasks
Perform any additional tasks as directed which are within your skill, qualification, and competence level
