This position is accountable for maintaining and repairing all types of equipment in a safe, efficient and competent manner. The successful candidate must also be able to work unsupervised and take ownership of their assigned tasks within the workshop environment.
Key Requirement
Previous auto electrical work experience on heavy earthmoving equipment
Relevant experience working within the Civil and Mining sectors
Must be able to use CAT SIS and ET diagnostic software
Must be able to work night shift if required
Carry out site work if required

Key Responsibilities
Ensuring and maintaining accurate records of repairs and maintenance carried out on all equipment
Ensure maintenance schedules for equipment are carried out safely and efficiently
Completion of machine inspection reports
Report defects found to Supervisor in a timely manner
Ensure faults reported are rectified in a prompt time frame
Perform diagnostic electrical tests as needed
Undertake electrical repairs on various vehicles
Weekly inspections of the maintenance area, ensuring defects are recorded on the inspection sheet and entered into a hazard register
